From the beginning to the end of Scripture we read about God’s love for his creation. At the completion of his creation and all its elements, God concluded with the words, “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good” (Gen.1, 31).  The Creator was content with the quality and the beauty of what he had created, from the  greatest planet to the smallest insect. On the last day of creation, he shaped what he should love the most, namely the human being who had a certain similarity with himself. This similarity has been described as “the Image of God.” The joy of creating something beautiful lies deeply in human nature, just as it exists in God’s.
