Some weeks ago, I informed about a project I am working on for the Catholic chapel at Stiklestad, commissioned by Bishop Erik Varden. Our national saint, Olav Haraldson, was killed there in a battle which took place on July 29, 1030. That day in Norway is called “Olsok” and is the feast day of St. Olav on the Catholic calendar. (It also appears on the Orthodox calendar, and also in the national Lutheran one, and in some places it also shows up on Anglican calendars.)
